I remember Pete and Ron Carothers taking my wallet out of my purse several times in the class we had together right before lunch.  They both thought it was so funny that I didn't have any lunch money.  I always found them though and sure enough never went without lunch...

The first week of school in 4th grade, kids kept coming up to me saying " Peter is in love with you".  I didn't know Peter, was embarrassed, and said it had to be the other Diane.  It wasn't, Peter had written "I love Diana " in red ink on his arms....   We became friends that year in Miss Williamson's class and competed in soak-em, baseball, field day, etc.  Never told him I liked him in 4th grade, but I did.  Peter was always special to me 'cause of fourth grade.  I am glad I got to see him through the years when I was married to Jay, and afterwards occasionally at Crescent Bar.  I am very sad he departed from this earth so early.

I didn't know too many guys at Ingraham.  Unfortunately, of the few guys I knew, 4 of them have passed away.  I met Peter in 4th grade and he was always trying to get the attention of Diana Feola.  I was sometimes the "middle man."  Even though he had a crush on Diana, he was very nice to the other girls too.  We had some fun times because the teacher was really cool.  Fourth grade was a happy time and Peter helped to make it so.
